This was our second time at Millpond House and as per the first time, everything was super (even the weather). It’s a beautiful home with fabulous finishes and facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean, the basket with wine, coffee, tea, biscuits and milk left in the fridge was really appreciated. It’s in a great location, with only a 15 minute walk into Portree. The owners are really helpful and responded to any questions very quickly. They also dropped us a line during our break to make sure all was ok and to offer advice on the local area, if required. We would definitely stay again.

Millpond House is like a home away from home. Modern, beautifully designed, luxurious and practical. Great location and perfect base for exploring Skye. Doug and Helen are amazing hosts, very responsive and always happy to share great recommendations. We had an amazing time exploring Skye and Millpond House with its little touches took it to another level. There were a few things that really made it stand out from other places: the cleanliness, luxury Scottish toiletries, its location, welcome hamper, the view, PS4, fridge with ice dispenser, guide books, information folder, house décor…..and the baby bath tub, which my younger son just loved. Millpond House has everything you need during your stay! Highly recommended. Thank you Doug and Helen!

What a beautiful house it did not disappoint, but exceeded our expectations. It reminds me of a boutique hotel and since it was my (Jackie) special birthday celebration, my friends served me - it was better than any hotel. Our whole time here has been amazing, Skye is just so beautiful and one would never tire of it. So “yes” we will be back and hopefully Millpond House will be available! Your hospitality in leaving such a welcome basket and providing logs at no extra cost testifies to your generous kind hearts and blows the myth that we Scots are mean, so thank you very much!!! Wow!! Stunning house, the kind dreams are made of, everything first class! We have had the most amazing stay and loved every second here, the morning views are just stunning, you have thought of everything! We will be back!!! Memories to keep forever. Thank you so much xxx

This is a next level holiday home that's extremely well equipped and very enjoyable to spend time in. It's also in walking distance of central Portree if that's of interest to you. If you're bringing bikes, there's a shed with a padlock. You may want to consider additional security for peace of mind, but it's probably not necessary. Special mention needs to be made for the 'Pizza in the Skye' takeaway that's a two minute walk from the house. Top quality wood fire cooked pizzas at very reasonable prices and complementary banter from the chef.

This accommodation is truly exceptional. It is just as pictured. The facilities are second to none; by far the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The attention to detail was very much appreciated - from the welcome hamper, to the luxurious toiletries, to the fantastic range of information books about Skye and the binoculars. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Millpond House is an exceptional house to stay in. Aside from being new, the hosts keep it to a very high standard. Good quality furniture throughout, a high-end kitchen and lots of attention to detail. Lots of space - you can clearly see it has been designed well. The location is great, in Portree so you have access to amenities if you wish, but not in the town centre (which is only a 15 minute walk) so very quiet. Fantastic open-plan living area upstairs where you can spend time relaxing with great views, as well as outside seating too. It is certainly the best Air BNB we have stayed in. It is a great base for exploring Skye as all roads emanate from Portree - we had a great week of walking and relaxing.

Wow! Millpond was one of the best Air BnB’s we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a lot). Doug was really responsive and the house had little touches to make us feel welcome. It is in a great location (walking distance to Portree but secluded enough for privacy). The house itself is amazing - it felt like a brand-new show home - it was very well equipped and sitting by the fire with the large TV after hard days out exploring was fantastic. 5/5

Amazing!!!!!! Doug and Helen are superb hosts, with a real focus on luxury, with home comforts. The winning combination for any luxury break away on Skye. We were their first honeymooners and we were spoilt with a card, champagne and luxury chocolates - so kind. The view is beautiful from the picture window, the finishes and furnishings are all high end. Attention to details is the main theme throughout. Toiletries….. again….here’s that word again….Luxury….Toiletries. Soft fluffy towels. The softest sheets I’ve ever slept in. So considerate and an extremely well equipped kitchen. Huge fridge. Cold water and ice dispenser. The fire is heaven. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the main town of Portree. It’s a 10-15 minute walk into the centre. We didn’t want to leave. Communication was spot on. Always replied and always replied swiftly. As we were checking out the window cleaner turned up. The windows were immaculate. This tells me they really look after the place, which I’m hoping keeps it immaculate. We were so pleased to have been one of your first visitors and can’t wait to return one day in the future. Really it deserves more than 5 star, like a 5 star hotel…..it’s a very new house. Location and view, access, advance features yet simple to use, spacious rooms and cleanliness and the architecture to interior is mind blowing. We felt very homely, and this house is very accommodative. We were party of 6 - 4 adults, 5 year old and infant baby. We all loved this spacious place. So many games for the family, from board games, to PS4, Netflix T, Beat Bluetooth speaker to play after Skye Hiking. The host is very quick and responsive and when they came to learn that we had an infant with us they provided the cot, baby bath tub and other supplies without our asking. On top of that their welcoming gift box which was in the kitchen, has plenty of items to enjoy by all ages. Lastly, we haven’t use all amenities, but they do have indoor fire place in the living room, gas oven pizza pit and patio furniture to enjoy outside. All in all, 5/5 stars️

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for the week! The house is incredible, spotlessly clean and absolutely everything had been thought of to make our stay as comfortable as possible! Loved exploring Skye and finding a lot of the products in the house were local. Would highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back in the future!

Fabulous place in an excellent location just a short walk away from Portree and a great base for exploring. Can’t recommend enough, the attention to detail that has gone into Millpond House is amazing, Doug and Helen have thought of everything to really make this feel like a home away from home and are so attentive to anything you might need including some great recommendations. We brought our 9 month old daughter Skye to visit her namesake for the first time on this trip and hope to make more memories here in the future! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Been to over 50 countries…..this has to be one of my favourite Air BnB’s of all time! Nice touch with the welcome basket. Love from California!

An absolutely stunning house, with a view. So well equipped, with everything you could possibly need, down to picnic equipment, toiletries and slippers. A great base for exploring the island and although we didn't meet Doug and Helen they made sure all was well. They even got my daughter a birthday present.
